Senior Inside Sales Manager

Zend is growing rapidly in North America and recruiting for two Senior Inside Sales Managers responsible for generating new business across North America.  Working closely with internal sales and sales development resources the Senior Inside Sales Manager will be solely responsible for winning new business sales in the North American territory.

This role is client-facing, but is not a field sales role. Our customers are busy and are happy to purchase without extensive client site visits. The role requires the ability to build a strong sales pipeline through a combination of outbound telephone prospecting as well as following up on inbound MQLs. The successful candidate with have the ability to articulate the business results that Zend’s portfolio of products and services can bring to our prospects. Engaging with stakeholders, decision makers and influencers throughout the organizations, the successful candidate will need to be an exceptional communicator with the ability to build and manage a healthy pipeline. Building and executing against a territory plan and a defined sales methodology, the role requires a team player who can collaborate with other sales team members, pre-sales, consulting and marketing resources.

Description of Duties:

  • Actively engage inbound MQLS and use outbound to create SGLs to yield a ripe pipeline
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and quota
  • Create new business opportunities by showing prospects the business benefits delivered by Zend
  • Manage and executing numerous sales campaigns
  • Maintain the company’s CRM with accurate and timely inputs on leads, contact, opportunities and forecasts.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Articulate with a strong and organized phone selling presence
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years software sales experience with strong focus on new business generation
  • Experience in selling infrastructure solutions or software solutions essential
  • The ability to manage a busy pipeline, engaging in a large number of leads and opportunities at one time
  • Demonstrated strong Account Management techniques, including territory planning
  • Ability to manage complex customer software procurement processes
  • Experience in selling at multi-levels within organizations
  • Software sales experience, ideally with developer tools, infrastructure automation or infrastructure management  solutions
  • Experience selling within a software or platform as service subscription based model a plus (SAAS or PAAS)
  • Familiarity with salesforce.com
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and partner with internal and external resources
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously whether at the office or at home
  • Great relationship skills, persistence, assertiveness, resourcefulness required
  • Ability to listen well, communicate and qualify effectively, over the telephone to all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively present to both technical and executive audiences
