Enterprise Account Manager, FRANCE

Zend is in a unique position of having a tremendous amount of in-bound interest in its solutions similar to that experienced by open source companies such as RedHat, mySQL and JBoss. We receive over 100,000 downloads of our software each month, and similar to salesforce.com need to be selective in who we reach out to. The ideal enterprise sales executive for Zend understands that enterprises are getting more comfortable doing business from a remote platform, and uses their time judiciously in deciding when to travel into the field (80%+ on the phone).

Zend is growing rapidly in Europe, and recruiting for an Enterprise Sales Account Manager responsible for generating business within strategic French accounts by growing existing accounts and developing new prospects, identifying their needs, selling Zend Technologies products and services and developing strong customer satisfaction. The position would ideally be located in Paris, France.

Description of Duties:

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual quota
  • Effectively forecast business
  • Prospect into key strategic French accounts, including those in FTSE100,250/DAX30, International Accounts, etc
  • Maintain pipeline of 3x quota
  • Deliver online presentations and demonstrations, travel to accounts as needed
  • Build and maintain knowledge base in order to be resident expert on Zend Technologies products and services
  • Maintain a weekly outbound phone & email campaign targeting top prospects
  • Work with Marketing to coordinate local regional seminars and Webinars
  • Coordinate and leverage local Channel business

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • The ability to close €50K - €1 million Enterprise solution deals within a complex sales cycle, managing the full sales cycle
  • Demonstrated strong Account Management techniques, including territory planning
  • Demonstrated strong Account Management techniques, including territory planning
  • Proven ability selling to all levels of Executives (CTOs, VP Application Development/Engineering) and the Development community required
  • Software Sales experience, selling application servers and developers tools a plus (JBoss, BEA Weblogic, Websphere, Rational, Remedy, BMC, …)
  • Experience selling within a software as service subscription based model a plus
  • Experience with complex selling; consultative selling methodologies; and using ROI Tools is a must
  • Familiarity with salesforce.com (or other CRM) automation applications
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and partner with internal and external resources
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, persistence, aggressiveness, resourcefulness required
  • Ability to listen well, communicate and qualify effectively, over the telephone to all levels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7-10 years software sales experience with proven over-achievement of sales quota
  • Technically adept, with the ability to position new technology quickly
  • Direct, Channel and New Business Sales Experience
