We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Professional Services Software Consultant to join the Professional Services Team. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services this position offers the opportunity to work at various locations and provide consulting and guidance to customers, developers, consultants, and project managers.

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver tasks on customer consulting engagements (e.g., development of web application solutions, architecture, performance & security reviews of PHP applications, high level expert PHP Consulting)
• Share knowledge of “Best Practices” in PHP and LAMP technologies to enterprise customers
• Understand customer technical and business requirements and scope work effort for engagements
• Install and configure Zend software products suite at customer sites
• Demonstrate Zend technologies during presales engagements
• Train, both onsite as well as in online training courses that Zend offers.
• Represent Zend as a speaker and/or author on PHP, LAMP and Zend topics

Professional Qualifications

• 3 – 5 years experience delivering consulting for technical customer engagements
• 3+ years experience developing PHP/LAMP solutions
• Advanced technical knowledge of PHP5, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, CSS, MySQL, AJAX
• Experience with Database Design and Optimization, Web 2.0, Unix, Apache and Linux required;
• Working knowledge of MVC, SOAP, SOA, and DOM
• Strong software architecture skills in both an object-oriented and procedural environment and a working knowledge of design patterns
• System administration skills in both a Linux/Unix and Windows environment
• Version control system experience
• Strong system integration skills
• Must be willing to travel (50%+ travel)
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic experience
