Zend is growing rapidly, and recruiting a Web Producer.Position Summary
This position is based in Cupertino, CA.Zend Technologies is looking for a website producer who will assist the marketing department with content management tasks, writing and graphic design and customizations of the company’s websites.
Zend.com has 4 regional sites: German, French, Italian and English, with a Japanese version coming up next. The website producer will be required to manage content for all these sites (Full content editing on the English site, and support for other languages content editors when needed). The Website Producer will work with regional content editors to support them and ensure consistency of content, layout and structure.
Daily Tasks and Requirements
- Optimize, update, post and maintain content for the site: visual and text, using our in-house content management system
- Interact with Product and Marketing Managers to make sure the messaging and content are correct and current
- Present proposed concepts of layouts for new updates to homepage, email campaigns and all necessary supporting pages in style of the Zend brand.
- Ensure website and image quality, consistency and adherence to brand identity
- Track website traffic looking to constantly improve traffic, retention and ecommerce conversion
- Staying up to date with developments in website design and use, and report on trends within the industry that would benefit our site/sales
- Non-web related illustration and design projects may be assigned as appropriate
Qualifications
- STRONG online portfolio that includes examples of web work including flash animations, email campaigns, and banner ads
- Excellence in visual design, information design and typography
- Strong XHTML and CSS skills
- Flash development (ActionScript 3.0) and interactive/dynamic content
- PHP skills will be a strong plus
- Skilled at working with marketing, designers, copywriters, and developers
- Excellent project management and organization skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to tight and demanding deadlines.
- Strong communication skills
