Zend Server for IBM i released!
The new PHP solution from Zend for the IBM i platform is available! Zend Server for IBM i replaces Zend Core and Zend Platform as the solution for modernizing your IBM i applications using PHP. Zend Server for IBM i also introduces Code Tracing, which acts as a “flight recorder” to aid in diagnosing application problems, as well as significant new capabilities for performance optimization and application monitoring.

Model layer for the i5 Toolkit on PHP
Many RPG developers want to move their applications to the web and they end up choosing PHP because it gives them easy access to web programming while providing access to their existing functionality. Accessing this functionality in its raw form can sometimes end up making applications less structured than is often desired. Kevin Schroeder, Zend Technologies Solution Specialist, addressed this issue by writing a simple library that abstracts out the functionality so you can easily access it in a re-usable, structured manner.

Need to convert a spool file to PDF using PHP on i5/OS?
