Zend Studio 9 Beta is here
Also at ZendCon, Zend announced the beta availability of Zend Studio 9, the latest and greatest version of our award-winning PHP editor. Unlike previous versions, Zend Studio 9 will not have a separate installer for use with IBM i - instead, all IBM i capabilities have been rolled into the main product. This new version adds deep cloud integration, better and faster workflows, and more. And during the beta period, pre-order Zend Studio 9 and save 10%: you'll get a license for Zend Studio 8, a free upgrade to version 9 when it's released, and priority access to the Zend Developer Cloud on phpcloud.com.

QUOTABLE
"PHP continues to gather momentum in the IBM i community as Web application development of all kinds rises to the top of the priority lists. Better late than never, I say. Outside of the IBM i community, PHP is absolutely huge. As a new skill to acquire, PHP travels well. Like the well-known energy drink Red Bull, it can give your career wings."
