Zend/PHP Conference Keynote Speakers Unveiled
IBM, Marc Andreessen and Redmonk Announced as Zend/PHP Conference Keynote Speakers
CUPERTINO, CA - May 2, 2005 - Zend Technologies, Inc., the PHP company, and creator of products and services supporting the development, deployment and management of PHP-based applications, today announced Marc Andreessen, chairman of Opsware, co-founder of Netscape and industry luminary, Stephen O'Grady, senior analyst and co-founder of Redmonk, and Rod Smith, vice president of emerging technology, IBM Software Group, as initial keynote speakers for the upcoming Zend/PHP conference. At the same time, the company announced that IBM would participate in the Zend/PHP Conference and Expo as a major sponsor of the event.
Earlier this year, IBM announced an agreement with Zend Technologies to further enhance PHP. Zend also announced plans to develop the Zend Core for IBM, the industry's first integrated solution to build and deploy applications and services based on PHP.

Marc Andreessen is widely recognized for his role in launching the Internet revolution in 1993, with his creation of the Mosaic browser while at the University of Illinois. After graduation, Marc co-founded Netscape Communications and played a critical role in the company's hypergrowth. Andreessen later became CTO of AOL when the company purchased Netscape in 1999.

IBM to Showcase PHP Solutions at Zend/PHP Conference and Expo
Stephen O'Grady is a senior analyst and co-founder of Redmonk, a leading market research firm that is bringing open source to the world of industry analysts. O'Grady covers the full spectrum of enterprise applications from development to deployment, with a special focus on open source and application development.
Rod Smith, VP of Emerging Technologies for IBM Software, is a well-recognized technical leader both within IBM's software business and across the industry. Smith is responsible for leading technological innovation in the Internet software space, guiding it into industry-standard specifications and into IBM's Internet products, such as WebSphere.

The "Power Your Business with PHP" conference will include daily keynote addresses, technical and business sessions, an exhibit hall and evening activities. The event will include a wide range of sessions, from hands-on tutorials for PHP developers, to business case studies highlighting PHP-based enterprise solutions from Fortune 1000 companies. As part of the conference, attendees will also be able to participate in pre-conference Training and Certification sessions hosted by Zend. The following tracks have been finalized for speakers:
