Q: How do I install Zend Platform?
Zend Platform has an intuitive installation wizard that guides you through the installation process. Download Zend Platform and read the Release Notes and for more detailed installation instructions.
Q: How long is the evaluation period of Zend Platform?
Zend Platform will work for 30 days upon installation and does not require a license file.
Q: What happens when the evaluation period for Zend Platform expires?
When the evaluation period has expired, the Zend Platform feature set will be disabled and only the Zend Studio Server functionality will be available allowing Web Server debugging from Zend Studio.
Q: How can I continue using Zend Platform after the evaluation period has expired?
To continue using Zend Platform after the evaluation period has expired you have two options:
- For production purposes, buy a production license of Zend Platform here.
- For development purposes, request a free Developer's License of Zend Platform from within the product GUI using the ‘Manage License’ option.
Q: What is the Zend Platform Developers License?
Zend Platform is now available with a free Developer License which permits the use of Zend Platform for application development. The Developer License does not limit the number of servers Zend Platform is installed on but it is server locked and limited to 1 year from the date acquired. To use Zend Platform in your development environment, you must download and install the Zend Platform trial and request a Developer License from within the product GUI using the ‘License Management" tab.
Q: Is there one place I can manage all my Zend Platform license issues?
Zend Platform has the ability to manage all your license issues from within the GUI itself.
From the ‘Manage Licenses’ option you can:
- View the license status on all your servers
- Request a Developer License
- Purchase a Production License
- Install the Developer or Product License
