Code Tracing
PHP Troubleshooting Made Easy with Zend Server Code TracingWhen applications break or run too slow in a production environment, developers often face the tedious process of trying to reproduce the environment and recreate the problems. Zend Server streamlines the troubleshooting process with Code Tracing, which captures the full code execution of PHP applications in either production or test environments and enables developers to “step back in time” to quickly and easily pinpoint root cause.Read more about Zend Server Code Tracing » |

Spend Less Time on Debugging Production Issues with Zend Studio
Zend Studio closes the loop between development and production by enabling developers to analyze not only code traces captured in the lab, but also those captured in a secure production environment they do not have access to. Developers using Zend Studio can “step back in time” and examine Code Tracing results for the function calls tree, arguments, return values, duration, memory usage and more. By determining the root cause of issues without spending time on recreating the production environment, developers can solve problems more quickly and focus on critical projects. |

How it Works1) A system administrator or a developer uses Zend Server to capture a code trace in production, either manually or automatically through a Zend Server monitoring rule. 2) The code trace is exported to a file, which can be downloaded over FTP or attached to an email or a defect report. 3) The developer opens the trace file in Zend Studio and uses it to determine root cause. |
