Zend Announces Support for OpenShift Enterprise by Red Hat

Zend Server Brings Enterprise PHP to OpenShift Private and Public Cloud Offerings

Cupertino, Calif. – June 11, 2013 – Zend, the PHP Company has announced an expansion of Zend’s existing collaboration with Red Hat and its OpenShift PaaS product family. A Red Hat ecosystem partner, Zend Server has been available on OpenShift Online, Red Hat’s public cloud PaaS offering since Sept. 2012, and will also soon become available on OpenShift Enterprise, Red Hat’s private cloud PaaS product.

This extended collaboration means that clients who are developing PHP applications will be able to take advantage of the enterprise capabilities of Zend Server, along with the open hybrid cloud capabilities of OpenShift by Red Hat. An application can run on the Zend Server Application Platform on OpenShift Enterprise behind the firewall, and in the exact same environment on the OpenShift Online public cloud offering.

Zend Server is the leading enterprise-ready platform for deploying, running and managing mobile and web apps. It delivers an elastic, reliable and integrated environment for enterprise PHP applications in the cloud. With the new Zend Server cartridge, OpenShift developers can deploy successfully the first time, every time. Advanced debugging and root cause analysis enable developers to detect and quickly resolve production issues. Designed to prevent performance degradation and avoid scaling and fault-tolerance disasters, Zend Server includes a number of additional features to ease the development and deployment process.
