Who are the Gurus?


Zeev Suraski, Co-founder, Vice President of Research and Development & CTO

Zeev Suraski is one of the creators of the Zend Engine, which all PHP sites and applications rely upon. He is also the author of some of the most popular PHP modules, such as the MySQL and PostgreSQL extensions. Recently, Zeev has been working on Zend Engine II - the core of PHP 5. Zeev is a member of both the PHP Group and the Apache Software Foundation, and has rich experience in UNIX system programming, Web technologies and Windows architecture. Zeev holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Andi Gutmans, Co-founder & Vice President of Technology

Andi Gutmans is one of the creators of the Zend Engine, which all PHP sites and applications rely upon. Recently, Andi has worked on Zend Engine II's object oriented improvements for PHP 5. Andi is a member of both the PHP Group and the Apache Software Foundation. Additionally, he has a rich background in enterprise software development including real-time avionics simulation software and n-tier J2EE applications. Andi holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
