Andi Gutmans
PDG et co-fondateur

Andi Gutmans est à l’origine de la vision et de l'esprit novateur de Zend qui ont permis l’évolution et la progression des services et des développement d'applications en PHP. Il a été un élément clé de la conception et de la promotion de PHP en tant que plateforme technologique de choix pour les applications web et mobiles s'exécutant sur site et sur le Cloud. M. Gutmans a toujours prôné les avantages de l'ouverture, de la normalisation et des bonnes pratiques de PHP, auprès des leaders de l'informatique d'entreprise et de la communauté des développeurs. À cette fin, il a mis en place des partenariats stratégiques entre Zend et IBM, Microsoft, Oracle et Adobe et a géré la conception et la mise en œuvre de l'un des projets Open Source de la société, le Zend Framework ; Deux initiatives qui aident à l'adoption de PHP dans les plus grandes entreprises internationales.

M. Gutmans a joué un grand rôle dans l'avancée de PHP depuis 1997, l'année où lui et le co-fondateur et directeur technique de Zend, Zeev Suraski, ont développé les bases de PHP 3, aujourd'hui largement reconnu comme un tournant pour le langage. Peu après, Andi Gutmans et Zeev Suraski présentèrent le moteur Zend, à l'origine de PHP 4 et de PHP 5. Aujourd'hui, plus d'un tiers du Web s'exécute sur PHP et on estime que 5 millions de développeurs l'utilisent. En 2009, sous la direction d'Andi Gutmans, Zend a soutenu la création de SimpleCloud.org en collaboration avec IBM, Microsoft et d'autres partenaires du secteur, créant ainsi une API unifiée pour la portabilité des applications dans le Cloud.

Gutmans a été reconnu comme étant l'un des 10 plus grands CEO techniques visionnaires par InternetNews.com en 2010. Andi Gutmans a également été nommé par Mashable comme l'un des "10 pères fondateurs du Web" et a été élu par Computerworld l'une des "40 personnalités du secteur informatique de moins de 40 ans à observer". Il est un auteur reconnu et un intervenant régulier sur les problématiques commerciales et technologiques lors de conférences internationales.Andi Gutmans est membre du PHP Group et de la fondation Apache Software. Andi détient un bachelor's degree en informatique obtenu auTechnion, Institut Israélien de haute-technologie.

Zeev Suraski
Chief Technology Officer

Zeev Suraski est un contributeur majeur à PHP depuis 1997, lorsque Andi Gutmans et lui développèrent les fondations PHP 3. Cette nouvelle version fit rapidement la popularité de PHP, qui fait fonctionner désormais plus de 20 millions de sites web dont Facebook et Yahoo! et bénéficie d'une communauté de plus de 5 millions de développeurs. Zeev a supervisé le projet PHP 4, la version qui ont fait de PHP la plateforme de développement la plus populaire au monde. Il a par la suite contribué au projet PHP 5.

Zeev a co-fondé Zend Technologies en 1999 avec Andi Gutmans. Il est désormais CTO et dirige les équipes de R&D de la société. Zeev a aidé Zend à devenir l'un des fournisseurs de solutions web majeur, à sécuriser quatre tours de financement, et à établir la présence de Zend sur le marché européen.

Zeev est membre du "board" de Zend Technologies, du PHP Group et de l'Apache Software Foundation. Suraski détient un bachelor's degree en informatique obtenu auTechnion, Israel Institute of Technology. 

Siddhartha Agarwal
Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations

Siddhartha Agarwal est responsable des canaux de ventes directes et indirectes de Zend pour le monde entier. Siddhartha apporte 18 ans d’expérience en ingénierie, conception et vente de produits et services informatiques aux entreprises.

Avant de rejoindre Zend, Siddhartha était Vice Président des ventes chez Solidcore Systems, où il a accompagné la transition de cette société d’une solution de sécurité des endpoints vers une solution dont le budget a permis une accélération importante des revenus. Avant Solidcore, Siddartha avait défini et géré un portefeuille de services d’infrastructure pour Totality Corporation (acquise par Verizon/MCI), et il a géré leurs affaires sur la côte Est en tant que Vice Président Régional des Ventes et Services. Avant de travailler chez Totality, Siddhartha a fondé des sociétés telles que Teamscape (acquise par Peoplesoft) et Contractor Online en tant que VP Engineering/CTO. Avant ces initiatives entreprenariales, Siddhartha a été Directeur du Développement chez Oracle pour son produit CRM eCommerce, Internet Bill Presentment et Payment.

Siddharta est titulaire d’une Maîtrise en Sciences Informatiques de l’Université de Stanford, une licence en Informatique et Economie de l’Institut de Technologie de Californie, ainsi qu’une licence de Grinnell College.

Elaine Lennox
Chief Marketing Officer

Elaine Lennox est directrice Marketing pour Zend Technologies. Dans ce rôle, elle conduit la stratégie marketing, le développement sur les nouveaux marchés et les activités associées de Zend dans le monde entier.

Avant de rejoindre Zend, Elaine fut Vice Présidente Marketing au sein du groupe Système et Technologie d'IBM, où elle a dirigé les activités commerciales et marketing auprès des plus importants clients. Elle a mené des actions qui ont permis une croissance significative dans la stratégie de datacenters d'entreprise, de cloud computing et d'efficacité énergétique. Elaine a également crée un business florissant pour IBM autour de l'analyse avancée de texte (la technologie qui a permis à l'ordinateur "Watson" d'IBM de rivaliser avec les candidats du jeu américain Jeopardy! en 2011). Elaine a dirigé les activités marketing autour de la technologie System i (AS/400) en collaboration avec les groupes d'utilisateurs et les partenaires pour stimuler la croissance du développement d'applications sur la plateforme System i. Son expérience antérieure comprend des rôles de leadership dans la création de programmes de partenariat et de marketing ciblant les PME pour IBM et HP et pour la startup Whistle Communications, qui est devenu le fournisseur majeur d'appareils et de et de services Internet pour le marché des petites entreprises avant son rachat par IBM. Elaine est titulaire d'un Bachelor of Science degree de la Aston Business School en Angleterre.

Matt Elson
Vice President, Business & Corporate Development

Matt Elson is responsible for strategic alliances and business development at Zend Technologies. In this role, he manages Zend’s alliances with industry giants like Adobe, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and others.

Matt has over 14 years of enterprise software experience having worked in senior business development and field operations roles at BEA Systems, WebGain, and Borland. Prior to joining Zend, Matt worked for two venture-backed start ups (Cenzic and Mocana) where he was responsible for business development and sales. Matt began his career as an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody and was also a management consultant for Stanford Research Institute, now SRI. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.

Curt DiSibio
Chief Financial Officer

Curt DiSibio is responsible for all finance and operational aspects at Zend Technologies. Curt brings more than 20 years of executive finance and operational management experience to Zend.  Prior to joining Zend, Curt was Chief Financial Officer of Integral Development Corporation, a Foreign Exchange trading software company.  Before Integral, Curt was CFO of Acta Technology, a data integration software company. At Acta Curt led a $25 Million private financing round and later managed the sale of the company to Business Objects.  Prior to Acta, Curt was CFO and COO of Saratoga Systems, Inc., a CRM software company. Curt has held CFO positions at InVision Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVN, acquired by General Electric), where he led the initial public offering in 1996 and a follow on public offering in 1997 as well as ELXSI (NASDAQ: ELXS). Early on Curt worked for CPA firm Hemming Morse, Inc.

Curt holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University, an MBA from Santa Clara University and is a Certified Public Accountant. 

Liat Shahar, Vice President, Human Resources

Liat Shahar is responsible for worldwide Human Resources activities at Zend Technologies. Liat manages workforce planning/staffing, talent management, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.

Prior to joining Zend, Liat had more than 10 years of experience at Intel Semiconductors. She worked in a variety of strategic HR roles and her experience includes organizational development consulting and HR management for a range of different Intel departments in Israel, Europe and the US. Additionally, Liat was the HR program manager for a new factory and a Mergers and Acquisition project.

Liat's education includes a BA in Organizational Behavior and a masters in Organizational Psychology from the Ben-Gurion University. She also holds a certification as a life coach from the Israeli Coaching Association.

Mark Burton, Executive Chairman

Mark Burton a 29 ans d'expérience en vente et marketing. Il officiait récemment dans les rôles de directeur des ventes chez MySQL AB et Informatica. Chez MySQL, en tant que vice-président des ventes mondiales et des alliances, il a contribué à l'édification d'un modèle de vente pour monétiser la marque Open Source MySQL qui a abouti à l'acquisition de cette société par Sun Microsystems pour un montant de 1 milliard de dollars en février 2008. Chez Informatica, M. Burton a tenu les rôles de Vice-Président Senior des Ventes Amériques puis Vice-Président des Ventes et des Alliances du groupe. Sa contribution a permis à Informatica de voir ses ventes progresser de 12 millions à plus de 150 millions de dollars, résultat d'une introduction en bourse réussie en avril 1999 et d’une deuxième offre en Septembre 2000. Ses autres postes comprennent plusieurs vice-présidences ventes et marketing dans des entreprises qui débutaient, un poste de Cadre résident chez Partech International Venture Partners et de responsable régional des ventes chez Oracle, entre autres.

M. Burton a également des intérêts dans les conseils d'administration de société Open Source leaders telles que MuleSource et Infobright et participe au conseil consultatif de Jaspersoft.

Harel Beit-On, Board Member

Harel Beit-On is the founder and general partner of Viola Private Equity. Harel is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of management leadership in the IT industry and an extensive investment and exit record. The former CEO, President & Chairman of Tecnomatix (NASDAQ: TCNO), a leading provider of complete enterprise software solutions for process management and collaboration, Harel led the company for over eight-year, during which the company grew to $100 million in revenues and more than 650 employees. In 2005, he led the successful sale of Tecnomatix to UGS, a global leader in the Product Lifecycle Management, for $228 million. Harel is one of the original founders of Carmel Ventures. He is a former Chairman of ECtel (NASDAQ: ECTX) and currently serves as Chairman of Lumenis (NASDAQ: LUME), Israel's largest medical device company, where he has led a successful investment round of $150 million and continues to oversee the company’s turnaround. Harel serves as an active board member on the boards of a number of leading emerging technology companies, where he leverages an extensive global network of partners, investors, entrepreneurs and executives in helping these companies achieve their objectives and build value.

Roni Hefetz, Board Member

Roni Hefetz is the co-founder and general partner of Walden Israel Venture Capital. Founded in 1993, Walden Israel manages $185 million and focuses on early-stage investments in the areas of communications and information technology.

Both in Israel and in the US, Roni has extensive entrepreneurial and operational experience. Prior to establishing Walden Israel, Roni was a venture partner with the Walden Group of International Venture Capital Funds in San Francisco. He was also a co-founder and general manager of the US operations of CI Systems, an Israeli high-tech electro optics company serving the defense market. Prior to that he spent several years with the Government of Israel in the Ministry of Finance at various positions including the Budget Department and the Investment Authority.

Roni holds a bachelor’s in economics and a master’s in business administration from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He serves on the board of directors of several Walden Israel technology companies, including Siano, ColorChip, Amimon, SintecMedia, and Zend Technologies.

Cameron Lester, Board Member

Cameron Lester is a founding general partner with Azure Capital Partners where he specializes in software and related infrastructure technologies. His current board memberships include Limbo, PSS Systems, ROME, SourceCode Technology and Zend Technologies. Other successful investments include TopTier Software (acquired by SAP), VMware (acquired by EMC), Interwoven (IPO in 1999) and Salesforce.com (IPO in 2004).

Immediately prior to Azure, Cameron was a managing director and the group head of the Software Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Prior to CSFB, Cameron was a director and the group head of the Software Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank Securities. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Cameron was a vice president at PaineWebber, focused on software. Over the course of his career, Cameron has provided strategic and investment advice to numerous leading private and public software companies. Notable firms include Advent Software, Baan, BEA Systems, Brio Technology, BSQUARE, Citrix Systems, Cygnus, DigitalThink, E.piphany, HNC Software, i2 Technologies, Infinity Financial, Informatica, Interwoven, JD Edwards, Liberate Technologies, NetDynamics, NetIQ, Onyx Software, PLATINUM technology, Pure Atria, Retek, Salesforce.com, Think Systems, Vantive, VERITAS Software, and Vitria Technology.

Cameron received his bachelor's in economics from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Moshe Mor, Board Member

A Partner with the Venture Firm Greylock Partners, Moshe Mor focuses on enterprise software, systems and services. Working in Greylock’s Israel office Mor brings operational and venture experience to Zend’s Board. He was a member of SPL's founding team; from 1995 he led it as its CEO through rapid expansion to reach 1,000 employees and $150 million in revenues worldwide. Prior to SPL WorldGroup, Moshe held management positions in software companies in diverse stages, from start-ups to large established players. Moshe leads Greylock's international investment activities in Israel, Europe and emerging regions in concert with other Greylock partners in both the Bay Area and the Boston offices.

Moshe holds a bachelor's in economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.

Steven R. Springsteel, Board Member

Steve Springsteel is currently chairman, president, and CEO of Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD). He brings over 20 years of high tech management experience to the Zend board of directors, including management of two successful IPOs and several mergers and acquisitions. Before Chordiant, Steve was president and CFO at Verity (NASDAQ: VRTY) where he led the company to profitability and shepherded the sale of the company to Autonomy. Steve will help guide Zend’s exceptional growth with a focus on streamlining operations and maximizing profitability. He is a frequent speaker on financial issues and has appeared on CNBC and other business media outlets, as well as at financial industry conferences. Steve holds a bachelor's in business administration from Cleveland State University.

Danny Rimer

Danny Rimer joined Index Ventures in 2002 as the partner responsible for establishing the firm's London office and expanding the firm's presence in Northern Europe. His investment interests include enterprise infrastructure, applications and services. He currently serves on the boards of KVS, MediaSurface, MySQL, Skype, Video Island and Zend, and is an observer on Betfair. Prior to joining Index, Danny was a general partner of The Barksdale Group, where he invested in a dozen companies including CrossGain (now BEA), myCFO (now Bank of Montreal), Neoteris (now NetScreen/Juniper), Ofoto (now Kodak) and TellMe. Prior to joining The Barksdale Group, Danny was managing director in Hambrecht & Quist's (now JP Morgan) Equity Research Group. At H&Q, Danny was the underwriting analyst for companies including Amazon, CheckPoint, CNET, Netscape, and Verisign. He also sponsored direct investments in over 20 companies. He holds a bachelor's from Harvard College.
