New! Zend Studio 5.5.1 release

While Zend Studio for Eclipse is our next generation product, Zend will continue to support Zend Studio for our existing customers. We have created a new Zend Studio Pro v5.5.1 and continue to plan maintenance releases for the Studio 5.5 family.  This new release contains the following updates:

• New Support for PHP 5.2.5
• New Support for Zend Framework 1.0.3
• Bug fixes and other updates

Ongoing support policy

We expect that for many customers an Eclipse based product will be preferable. With all the functionality and extensibility of Eclipse, it simply provides richer functionality than Zend could create on our own. However, by continuing to support and maintain Zend Studio V5.5 we will let customers decide when to migrate to the next generation product. Migration tools are provided to streamline the adoption process.

Zend will provide customers that are currently under maintenance for Zend Studio 5.5 a free upgrade to Zend Studio for Eclipse. If you wish to continue to use Zend Studio 5.5 simply renew as you would normally and licenses will be provided for both products. Any Zend Studio purchase will entitle customers to use both products.
