Automatic and Manual Updates
Zend Core provides both automatic and manual updates for any customer that has a current paid Zend Core support subscription. For automatic updates please use the tools in Zend Core. For manual updates click here.Zend Core Subscriptions
By working with customers, partners and the PHP community, Zend identifies the updates needed for security and other issues important to the reliability of your PHP environment. Zend will create updates for Zend core that can be automatically downloaded to your server using Zend Network technology. This insures that the reliable, production quality Zend Core stays that way. All times stated are for availability of an update after the problem is diagnosed and a fix is provided in the PHP code base.
PHP Security Exploits
Zend will provide updates to fix PHP security exploits to all subscription customers. Fixes for Remote exploits (exploits that can be utilized externally) will be provided within 72 hours. Fixes for Local exploits (exploits that can be utilized by malicious code running on the server) will be provided within 1 week.
Critical Bugs Fixes
Zend will provide updates to fix other critical bugs that can affect the stability and reliability of the PHP environment to Gold and Platinum subscriptions customers.
Customer Requested PHP Fixes
Platinum subscription customers can request a fix for a specific PHP bug be expedited. Zend will work with the open source community to help diagnose the problem and get a fix committed to the PHP code base. Once the fix is created it will be treated as a Critical Bug Fix for delivery purposes.
PHP Maintenance Releases
Zend will provide updates for PHP maintenance releases (for example 5.2.3 to 5.2.4) to all subscription customers. PHP Maintenance releases are backward compatible with previous releases and contain all security and bug fixes plus other small changes to the PHP code base.
PHP “Back port” period
This is the period of time that Zend will deliver fixes for security exploits to older versions of Zend Core. This allows customers to migrate to newer major versions of PHP on their own time table.

Zend will provide web based and phone support per the table above depending on the subscription level of the customer.
