Zend PHP Certification - How to Become a Zend Certified Engineer

Your interest in becoming a Zend Certified Engineer (ZCE) is the first step in advancing your PHP and Web development career. Whether you are self-employed, a consultant or a member of a PHP team, becoming a ZCE will certify and validate your expertise in PHP.

The following step-by-step instructions will assist you in becoming a Zend Certified Engineer quickly and effortlessly:

1. Purchase a Zend PHP Certification Voucher. Press the appropriate "Add To Basket" button on the right side of this page. For a group discount (10+ vouchers), contact Daniel Kushner, Zend's Director of Education, at: daniel@zend.com.

3. Schedule to take the exam at one of over 3,500 test centers, at: Pearson VUE. During the scheduling process you will be asked for the number of the voucher that you purchased in Step 1.

5. Study thoroughly for the exam using the Zend PHP Certification Study Guide and Zend PHP Certification Practice Test Book. Although these books are recommended, they are not a substitute for real world experience (at least 6 months is recommended). Many ZCE's found the Certification Preparation Online Course useful in passing the exam.

7. On the day of the exam don't forget to take 2 forms of identification with you to the testing center--testing staff must verify your identity! Come relaxed and ready. Good luck!

9. At the end of the exam you will get a pass/fail grade. The numeric score is not released.

15. In 24-48 hours your name and credentials will be published in the Yellow Pages for PHP Professionals. You can download the ZCE Logo and link it your ZCE Authentication Page.

17. To edit your ZCE details go to the Yellow Pages for PHP Professionals page and follow the instructions. You will be able to upload your picture, choose to display your company name, and much more.

19. In 4-8 weeks we will mail your Diploma.
