Alan Seiden helps the IBM i community create and optimize web and mobile applications by combining PHP, RPG, and DB2 on IBM i. Offering services ranging from quick troubleshooting and strategic advice to large projects, his team enjoys mentoring clients toward confidence and mastery. Co-developer with IBM of the open-source PHP Toolkit, Alan was one of the first Zend Framework certified engineers, later co-founding the NYC Zend Framework Meetup and "Club Seiden". Alan was a charter member of IBM/COMMON's PHP Advisory Board and a consultant for IBM's manual PHP: Zend Core for i5/OS. An award-winning speaker, Alan has been called "the performance guru of PHP on IBM i," is a Zend Reseller Partner, and a member of the "Z Team."

Mike Pavlak has been working with IBM solutions since 1992 and IBM Mainframes before that. After years of developing applications using RPG, CL and PHP he managed IT and development for power protection manufacturer Tripp Lite. Mike has been a solutions consultant since 2008 helping IBM i customers explore PHP as a state of the art solution for application modernization. In addition to several roles as a volunteer with COMMON, the premier IBM user group, Mike also teaches PHP classes part time at Moraine Valley Community College in Suburban Chicago.
