Zend Framework Education Advisory Board
The Zend Framework Education Advisory Board has established the curriculum criteria necessary to demonstrate expertise in Zend Framework. Its members have been selected from among the leaders of the Zend Framework community.
|Adam Culp (@adamculp), organizer of the South Florida PHP Users Group (SoFloPHP) where he speaks regularly, is a Zend Certified PHP 5.3 Engineer working at Zend Technologies as a Senior Professional Services Consultant. Adam is passionate about developing with PHP and enjoys helping others write good code, implement standards, refactor efficiently, and incorporate unit and functional tests into their projects. When he is not coding or contributing to various communities he can be found hiking around the United States National Parks, teaching judo, or participating in long distance|
|Alexander Veremyev has been doing IT work since 1989 at the Computer center of Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences. Graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Techincal University in 1998 with a Magister degree. Alex has over ten years of technical expirence working with XML from the very begining. He has been a lead contributor at Zend Technologies since 2005.|
|Andi Gutmans leads the PHP Collaboration Project and Zend product strategy, working together with both partners and the community, to build the market’s leading Web development platform. Andi has been a leading contributor to PHP since 1997. Recently, Andi spearheaded the object-oriented improvements for PHP 5. He is a member of the PHP Group, the Apache Software Foundation, and on the board of the Eclipse Foundation. Additionally, he brings a rich background in enterprise software development including real-time avionics simulation software and n-tier J2EE applications. Andi holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.|
|Andries Seutens is a PHP guru and President of Centim Consultancy. He is Zend Certified, and a member of the Zend Education Advisory Board, the group responsible for authoring the Zend Certification Exam. When Andries is not madly coding away on a cool new project, he likes to use what little free time he has volunteering with open source projects. He is also an avid cook, movie fan, and in true Belgian fashion, a connoisseur of finely crafted beer.|
|Ben Scholzen is a Zend Certified Engineer who has been programming since his childhood, and started with PHP in 2000. In 2008 he started contributing to the Zend Framework, developing key components including Zend_Application. He joined the Zend Framework Community Review Team in 2010. For Zend Framework 2 he contributed features such as the new routing system and the internationalization layer.|
|Darby Felton is currently a senior developer for Automotive Computer Services, where he engineers software solutions for the automotive dealer industry. He has worked with PHP since 2000 and as a PHP developer for Zend Technologies made core contributions to Zend Framework. Darby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia and is a Zend Certified Engineer (PHP 4 and 5).
|Enrico Zimuel is a Software Engineer since 1996. He works as Senior PHP Engineer at Zend Technologies, in the Zend Framework Team. He has been a Researcher Programmer at the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam and he collaborated with the Science Department of the University of Pescara (Italy). He is a frequent speaker at PHP conferences and the author of articles and books about PHP, applied cryptography and computer security. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Pescara. He is the co-founder of the PHP User Group of Torino (Italy).
| Evan Coury is a core contributor and long-time user of Zend Framework who is perhaps most well known in the community for authoring the all-new ZF2 module system. He is currently a professional software architect and independent consultant. In addition to consulting and his open source contributions, Evan is also the owner of Roave, a PHP and Zend Framework consulting and development company which employs some of the most talented developers in the PHP community.
|Jon Whitcraft has been working with PHP for more than 8 years, but he began working with HTML in late 1995. He is currently the lead programmer for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy Racing League where he writes and maintains the code for over 20 websites, he is also active contributer to the Zend Framework Community providing help to the other community members and also submitting patches and bug fixes.|
|Marco Pivetta aka Ocramius is a software developer by day, and a passionate open source software contributor, evangelist and supporter by night. He is part of the Doctrine team and an active Zend Framework 2 contributor, constantly looking for new challenges to deal with, especially when it comes to PHP.|
|Matthew Weier O'Phinney was a Computer Sciences refugee for many years, but returned to programming in 2000, when he was introduced to ASP, Perl and PHP, in that order. After working in a variety of positions as well as freelancing, he joined Zend in 2005 as part of their new "eBiz" team, where he implemented CMS solutions and mid-tier web services for Zend's online presence. He moved full time to the Zend Framework team in late 2007, and took over as project lead in 2009.|
|Maurice Kherlakian, North America Services Manager for Zend Technologies, is a seasoned PHP professional. Over the past 12 years he has built and maintained several small and large scale applications. He also worked as a system administrator for both Windows and Linux platforms. Maurice is part of the Zend Professional Services team, which gives him the opportunity to travel the globe to assist Zend's consulting customers improve their experience with PHP and Zend Solutions. He specializes in PHP and Zend Framework architectural and performance audits and implementation of best practices to provide solutions for complex problems.|
|Michaël Gallego is a computer science engineer who co-founded the company Maestrooo (France). While he used to be passionate about C++ that gave him a strong OOP knowledge, he now dedicates exclusively to web development. He especially focuses on technical support and Zend Framework 2 development, where he is a core contributor and maintainer. Michaël also writes beautiful code for widely used Zend Framework 2 modules like DoctrineModule or SlmMail.|
|Mike Willbanks works as a Sr. Web Architect Manager and has more than a decade of experience programming the web with PHP. He is an active Zend Framework contributor and serves on the community review team.|
|Nico Edtinger has chosen PHP as his tool of choice since 2000 and being a freelancer, he worked as a software architect and PHP guru for various companies. He started working on the mail reading classes for Zend Framework shortly after the project went public and been shifting between being an active contributer or lurker depending on the time needed for his other projects, like communication platforms, IPTV solutions, the latest trendy stuff on the web or whatever his customers long for.|
||Ralph Schindler is a software engineer on the Zend Framework team for Zend Technologies. His experiences with PHP date back to the late 1900's during the days of PHP 3. Since 2006 his contributions to ZF have touch many different components, but currently he is the primary lead on ZendDb: ZF's database abstraction component. Ralph is currently located in his native home-town, New Orleans - partaking in as much of the great food, drink and live music as one can muster. When not in front of his computer, he can be found hacking on home-owner projects, participating in his neighborhood improvement organization, or playing with his son and chocolate labrador, Belle. He is married to Jenny, his spectacular wife and a soon to be father of another son.|
||Rob Allen has been programming with PHP for over seven years and is a member of the Zend Framework community and is the lead author of Zend Framework in Action. He is a contributor to the Zend Framework, developing the Zend_Config component with the help of many ideas from the mailing list. Rob holds a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the UK and started out writing C++ Windows applications. He now concentrates solely on web-based applications in PHP. Rob is the Technical Director of Big Room Internet concentrating on the company's content management framework and future technologies.|
||Ryan Mauger is the Lead Developer at Lupimedia, where he is responsible for the day to day operations of the development team. Working on everything from small business to large scale enterprise applications, largely using Zend Framework. He was the technical editor for Vikram Vaswani’s book “Zend Framework: A Beginners Guide” and works in the Zend Framework community as well as contributing to the framework.|
||Slavey Karadzhov is a full time senior consultant at Zend Technologies. He is located in Stuttgart, Germany and travels the world while trying, among other things, to help people get better understanding about programming and Zend Framework in particular. Slavey Karadzhov PHP and ZF Certified Engineer and has two major university degrees: one in Software Technology from the University of Applied Science in Stuttgart, Germany, and the other in Computer Science from Sofia University, Bulgaria. Author of the popular "Learn ZF2" book.|
|Thomas Weidner is core developer of Zend Framework. He specifically created the complete I18N core and several other usefull classes like Zend_File_Transfer. He is working as application developer and product marketing manager at Voxtronic Technology a company specialized to do speech and data recording in high security environments. Thomas has worked with PHP since 2000 and a Zend Framework contributor since 2006. He has a deep knowledge of I18N, L10N, the Windows architecture and Web technologies.
