System Requirements

Supported Operating Systems:

Linux x86 and x86-64:
  • RHEL, CentOS and Oracle Linux - versions 6.x and 5.x through RPM packages
    • Note: Fedora distribution is not supported
  • SLES 11.x and openSUSE 11.x and 12.x through RPM packages
  • Debian GNU/Linux 6.x and 7.x
  • Ubuntu Linux 10.04/12.04 (LTS) and above via DEB packages
  • Ubuntu 13.10 is supported with Apache 2.4 and Nginx web servers

Windows x86 and x86-64:
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Windows XP SP3 (not PHP 5.5)

Mac OS X:
  • 10.9

IBM i:
  • V6R1 with latest PTFs
  • V7R1 with latest PTFs

Supported Web Servers:

  • Apache 2.2 (bundled on Windows and Mac or shipped by the distribution on Linux).
  • Apache 2.4 is supported on Ubuntu 13.10
  • Nginx web server from Nginx repositories (supported on Linux only) – see: http://nginx.org/en/linux_packages.html
  • Microsoft IIS on supported Windows systems (except XP).
    • Note: Zend Server's application deployment feature is not supported on IIS, but other application-related features are still available by defining applications.

Supported Browsers:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and above
  • Apple Safari on Mac OS X

Database Requirements:

A MySQL 5.5 or 5.6 server is needed to run Zend Server in clustered environments.
