When a legacy web application becomes obsolete and unsustainable to support, it’s time to think about modernizing. The path to modernization, however, is not always straightforward and there are important decisions to make before getting started. Teams must consider the cost of maintaining the legacy app, how to approach the migration itself, and what management of the future state application will look like to ensure a smooth transition — and avoid surprises and expensive missteps.
